Laser tattoo removal in Dodoma
Laser pulses break the ink into particles the body clears over the weeks that follow. Several sessions, a test patch first, and settings chosen for deeper skin.

Gradual, careful, effective
Tattoo removal on darker skin needs a specific laser and a cautious approach, because the laser must find the ink without targeting the skin’s own pigment. Sessions are spaced six to eight weeks apart to let the body clear each round.

What is tattoo removal?
Tattoo ink sits in the dermis in particles too large for the body to remove. A Q-switched or picosecond laser delivers very short pulses that shatter the particles; the immune system then carries the fragments away. Black ink responds best; some colours need more sessions.
Permanent make-up, such as tattooed brows, can also be treated, with care around the eyes.
Why treat it
Medical reasons
Allergic reactions to ink and tattoos that need to be cleared for professional reasons are treated the same way.
Confidence and comfort
A tattoo that no longer fits your life, faded to little or nothing.
The process
From assessment to results
Size, colours, depth and age of the tattoo are assessed, a test patch is done, and the likely number of sessions is explained honestly.
Each session:
- Numbing cream and cooling
- Laser pulses across the tattoo, five to twenty minutes
- A dressing and aftercare instructions
Redness, swelling and sometimes blistering for a few days. Keep it covered and out of the sun, do not pick, and expect the area to fade slowly over the following weeks.
Six to twelve sessions for most tattoos. Many fade to near invisibility; some leave a faint shadow. A small risk of lighter or darker skin in the treated area is discussed before you start.

Who treats you
Your dermatologist
Can tattoos be removed from dark skin?
Yes, with the right laser, lower settings and more sessions than on lighter skin. The test patch comes first.
Does it hurt?
Like a hot elastic band snapping on the skin. Numbing cream and cooling make it bearable; sessions are short.
Will it go completely?
Black ink on most people fades to almost nothing. Coloured and deep tattoos may leave a shadow. We tell you what to expect at the assessment.
How far apart are sessions?
Six to eight weeks, so the body can clear the ink between them.
Will it scar?
Rarely, with correct settings and aftercare. People who form keloids are assessed carefully first.
