Dermatology, aesthetic medicine Same-day where suitable
Microneedling in Dodoma
Fine, controlled needling that prompts the skin to rebuild its own collagen. Safe on deeper skin tones when the depth and the aftercare are set by a dermatologist.

Smoother skin, over a short course
Each session creates thousands of microscopic channels that heal within a day and leave the skin firmer and more even. Three to six sessions, four weeks apart, give the clearest change.

What is microneedling?
A sterile device with very fine needles passes over numbed skin, creating controlled micro-injuries. The skin responds by producing new collagen and elastin, which fills shallow scars, tightens pores and refines texture.
Because no heat is used, microneedling carries a lower risk of dark marks than many laser treatments, which makes it one of the most useful treatments for African skin.
Why treat it
Medical reasons
Acne scars and enlarged pores do not improve on their own. Microneedling is the evidence-based treatment for rolling and boxcar scars on deeper skin.
Confidence and comfort
Firmer, brighter, more even skin, with results that build over months.
The process
From assessment to results
The dermatologist checks that the skin is free of active acne or infection, sets the depth for your concern, and plans the number of sessions.
About forty-five minutes:
- Numbing cream for thirty minutes
- Needling in passes across the area
- A calming serum and sunscreen to finish
Redness like mild sunburn for a day or two, then light flaking. No make-up for twenty-four hours, strict sun protection for a week.
Texture improves from the second session; collagen keeps building for three months after the course. Maintenance once or twice a year holds the result.

Who treats you
Your dermatologist
Is it safe on dark skin?
Yes, at the right depth with the right aftercare. It is one of the safest resurfacing treatments for deeper skin tones.
Does it hurt?
With numbing cream it feels like light sandpaper. Most people find it comfortable.
How many sessions do I need?
Three to six for scars, fewer for texture and glow.
Can it be combined with other treatments?
Yes, with mesotherapy serums in the same session, or alternated with chemical peels.
When should it be avoided?
With active acne, infection, a tendency to keloids, or in pregnancy.
