What is anti-wrinkle injections (botox)?
Botulinum toxin is a purified protein that, injected in tiny amounts into a muscle, stops that muscle contracting fully for three to four months. Lines caused by repeated expression soften, and with regular treatment they form less deeply.
It is also used medically for excess underarm sweating and for jaw clenching, and is one of the most studied treatments in aesthetic medicine.
